WTF DIY

THIS DIY pretty much had me yelling WTF through the whole process,  but even more at the end result! I'm obsessed with honestlywtf.com, and could litterally stalk the blog for days upon dayzzzz. But this particular little project needed to be documented. I am not a very patient person, so it is a rare occasion when I actually follow through and finish a project that requires "a bit of dexterity" along with three one-yard strands of twine and 18 hex nuts (silver, gold, or even some neon yellow spray painted ones...hmmm.) I'm kinda proud, and you must try it out! xoxo

Pastel and stripes

Centralia may be small but it's various historical homes are not! This little beauty behind some of the shots has to be my favorite. It's actually one of the many homes to interior designer Ted Tuttle who graduated from my high school. Check out the interior here.

I've been waiting to get a couple shots in this pastel stripped vintage button up I've had for over a year now. I styled it with a Nasty Gal sweater, J brands, Sam Edelmans, MK watch, super cheap rings I dug out of a thrift store downtown, and my moms old Coach bag.

Today was a very busy/productive day. After a full day of class and errands, I had the pleasure of sitting down for some coffee with Jammie Chasteen of faithfullyfabulous. She gave me some great great advice about the blogging/fashion world. It's so unbelievably nice to sit and chat with someone who you share so many of the same interests with (hard to find around here). She is such a sweet person, and I'm so glad to have met her!

I see a new DIY in the future! I'm obsessed with collars. Ladies all over have been rocking the collar up and down this year. Can't wait to rock em'.

ANNIE

My fab cousin and I had a little time on our hands and went out to take a couple shots. Annie is the most stylsih girl I know,my blood and luckily the only person I know who shares the same tired and true "passion for fashion" as I do. Expect to hear and see a lot of her, and hopefully a collaboration in the near future!
Annie is the ultimate thrifter, and almost everything she is wearing had either been thrifted or found at a vintage store. She's got an amazing eye for it and she's always bringing home the coolest things.I'm very envious.
Our little town is full of vintage stores and  buildings this could be our only advantage. They're everywhere and the exteriors of the shops are so fun to photograph. The sun finally made it's long overdue appearance, and so did my camera. We sure needed it after our week long snow storm. Enjoy these pics!!
P.S: check out her blog HERE

Print it

Prints!
Big trend for '12 Spring runway. When I first saw Cynthia Rowley, Derek Lam, and Vera Wang's use of the bold trend, I didn't think I liked the idea. The more I looked at the spring ready to wear collections, like the J Crew collection below, the idea started to grow on me.  I don't know if I could personally rock the trend, wouldn't mind trying. I have a feeling the girl in the image above would really put me to shame.  I guess I should the lesson on layering by Man Repeller could help me out. To bad I don't have a Balenciaga houndstooth vest laying around. Hmmm...

Top-Knots and red Lips

Little outfit post featuring my two favorite beauty regimens, (kind of my obsession) red lips and a top knot. So effortless, yet so extremely chic. So simple, yet so loud! I am always a repeat offender. When I'm having a bad hair day, I throw up the top knot. When I don't feel like makeup, out comes the red lip stick. It's beauty made easy girls! Who doesn't like that?

Topshop flats, Zara blazer, Topshop top, J Brand jeans, MK watch, Vintage coach bag, Elizabeth and James sunnies.

sea-town

A little love from my favorite city! :) Random drive to Pike's Place and Lunch at Toulouse Petit Kitchen & Lounge.. amazing Cajun food (complete with succulent Beignets.) It was such a clear (yet extremely cold) day! My only regret was not enough  pictures! I picked up an amazing hand crafted day of the dead skull at one of my favorite shops in the market..here's the link to the website..I am kind of obsessed with day of the dead anything. Anyway, check them out. It was such a perfect day. These are the times when I wish summer could come and moving a way would be just that much closer. I cannot wait to be living in a big city where I can discover a new restaurant everyday, where places like Pike's Place are right outside my door, where people take risks and play with fashion, live it, maybe breathe it, and of course eat it. A place where I can grow, make new friends and new experiences, the list  goes on and on. I know the day is coming... I need to be patient!
